Newcastle's Ouseburn - hipsters & art...
After being fitted with a bike we’ll take a leisurely drive through the Ouseburn quarter, the former cradle of industrialization that has been turned into a creative cultural hub with a vibrant community feel.
Jesmond Dene - a billionaire's garden
Continue your bike tour into the beautiful Jesmond Dene Park, formerly the private garden’s of the city’s most prolific industrialist of the 19th century and, today, a recreational space!
Cycle through Newcastle Town Moor & cows
Onto the Town Moor! It’s larger than New York’s Central Park and, oddly, home to over 600 cattle grazing in the middle of the city!
The heart of the city!
The second part of your tour takes you into the heart of Newcastle: at first, explore the campus area of Newcastle and Northumbria Universities, the city’s famous Great North Museum Hancock. Then on to the classical Grainger Town with its beautiful sandstone buildings along the famous Grey Street!
Riverside & bridges
For the last part of your journey see the "new castle", cross one of the many bridges over the river Tyne and cycle along Newcastle’s regenerated Quayside with fantastic views!
