Alex Jacobs
Founder & Managing Director
Alex founded Northern Secrets in 2007 after training as a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide. Growing up between Germany and North East England gave him an early fascination with travel and a particular connection to the North. Today, he leads Northern Secrets while remaining closely involved in developing journeys, partnerships and the experiences that define the company.
Anna Unger
Senior Destination Specialist
Anna combines detailed destination knowledge with a practical understanding of what makes a journey work. She plays a central role in developing itineraries, sourcing experiences and working with Northern Secrets’ network of accommodation providers, guides and local partners – bringing together the details that turn a good itinerary into a memorable journey.
Fran Hindhaugh
Director of Product & Ancestry
Fran specialises in creating journeys with a strong sense of story and connection. Alongside developing itineraries and experiences across Northern Britain, she leads our Ancestry Concierge work, helping guests explore their family history and connect genealogical research with the places, landscapes and communities their ancestors once knew.
